Source text - English In a village there lived two men who had the self-same name. Both were named Claus.
But one of them owned four horses, and the other owned only one horse; so to distinguish
between them people called the man who had four horses Big Claus, and the man who
had only one horse Little Claus. Now I'll tell you what happened to these two, for this is a
true story.
The whole week through, Little Claus had to plow for Big Claus and lend him his only
horse. In return, Big Claus lent him all four of his horses, but only for one day a week and
that had to be Sunday.
Each Sunday how proudly Little Claus cracked his whip over all the five horses, which
were as good as his own on that day. How brightly the sun shone. How merry were the
church bells that rang in the steeple. How well dressed were all the people who passed
him with hymn books tucked under their arms. And as they went their way to church, to
hear the parson preach, how the people did stare to see Little Claus plowing with all five
horses. This made him feel so proud that he would crack his whip and hollo, "Get up, all
my horses."
"You must not say that," Big Claus told him. "You know as well as I do that only one of
those horses is yours." But no sooner did another bevy of churchgoers come by than Little
Claus forgot he mustn't say it, and holloed, "Get up, all my horses."
"Don't you say that again," Big Claus told him. "If you do, I'll knock your horse down dead
in his traces, and that will be the end of him."
"You won't catch me saying it again," Little Claus promised. But as soon as people came
by, nodding to him and wishing him "Good morning," he was so pleased and so proud of
how grand it looked to have five horses plowing his field, that he holloed again, "Get up, all
my horses!"
"I'll get up your horse for you," Big Claus said, and he snatched up a tethering mallet, and
he knocked Little Claus's one and only horse on the head so hard that it fell down dead.
"Now I haven't any horse at all," said Little Claus, and he began to cry. But by and by he
skinned his dead horse and hung the hide to dry in the wind. Then he crammed the dry
skin in a sack, slung it up over his shoulder, and set out to sell it in the nearest town.

Logo que transitava alguém, acenando-lhe com a cabeça e desejando um “bom dia”, ele se sentia tão contente e altivo, achando-se muito poderoso por arar suas terras com os cinco cavalos.
— Vamos, meus cavalos! — gritou o pequeno Cláudio mais uma vez.
— Deixa que vou conduzir seu cavalo — disse o grande Cláudio. Ele pegou um malho e golpeou com todas as forças na cabeça do único cavalo do pequeno Cláudio, que caiu morto no mesmo instante.
— Ah, agora estou sem cavalo! — lamentou o pequeno Cláudio e começou a chorar.
Pouco a pouco foi tirando o couro do animal morto e pendurou para secar ao vento. Depois, colocou dentro de um saco, lançou às costas e foi até a cidade mais próxima para poder vendê-lo.

Source text - English As a seminary student nearing graduation I’ve been asked hundreds of times in recent years, what do you want to do with your degree?
And usually right after I get asked that the follow up question is, where do you want to serve?
It’s a bit of a weird question, because it assumes we have a choice in the matter. Like we get to choose our own calling or something. That would be nice.
I typically answer it by listing all the places I could never live.
Not the Midwest. Done that before. Too much humidity. My wife would hate the winters.
Not LA. Too crowded. Too expensive. Too much sunshine (I sound like a true Oregonian there).
Not Salem. Too small. I grew up there. Lots of bad memories. Great place to call home, not where I want to go back to though.
Not Hawaii. Too expensive. Too isolated.
You might call me picky. I just call myself self-aware. I know where God would regret sending me because I could never be happy. I would imagine you’ve created a similar list in your mind.
Everyone has their list of where they simply will not move, even pastors.
But what happens when God calls you to where you don’t want to go? What happens when He is leading you to the one place you never wanted to live?
After living the previous 5.5 years in Portland, a place I thought God would leave me for a long, long time, I’m now in Salem, a place that I refused to go back to. It’s not that God doesn’t care if we’ve made a list about where we’ll never go, but He sees beyond it, to our hearts, knowing He’s trying to shape us to care less about the list. Tell God you don’t want to go to the desert and I imagine you will likely find yourself there within 5 years.

Todo mundo tem uma lista dos lugares de onde nunca se mudariam, até mesmo os pastores.
Mas, o que acontece quando Deus te envia para um lugar que você não quer ir? O que acontece quando Ele te guia para um lugar que você nunca quis viver?
Após morar 5 anos e meio em Portland (Oregon), local onde pensei que Deus me deixaria por um longo tempo, hoje, moro em Salem, um lugar que havia recusado voltar. Não é que Deus se importe se fizermos uma lista dos lugares que nunca iremos, mas Ele vê além, além dos nossos corações e tenta nos moldar para darmos menos crédito a esta lista. Diga para Deus que você não quer ir para o deserto, e já imagino você lá dentro de 5 anos.

Source text - English While it’s possible that it’s only using this single-letter design for social media, the curvature at the bottom of the ‘N’ is reminiscent to the bottom curve on the entirety of the old logo. That seems to suggest Netflix is planning on using the single-letter motif as its visual identity across a variety of platforms, if not necessarily all of them.
In other words, expect this to show up on your smartphone too.
That said, we’re not seeing the new design on its main page or its official assets page for media, given it’s already updated its two largest social media accounts, we imagine the company will be rolling out the revamped logo widely any time now.
This is the second time Netflix has updated its visual identity. The first change came in 2014, when it switched from its DVD-era logo with a red background and old-school typeface to a flatter, more minimal design (and as with most logo changes, some people weren’t happy). Looking at it now, it’s quite a throwback:

A curvatura abaixo do ‘N’ faz alusão a toda curvatura do logotipo antigo, transparecendo o planejamento da Netflix em usar uma única letra como sua identidade visual em várias plataformas ou se não em todas.
O novo design não aparece na página principal ou na página oficial ativa, mesmo atualizado nas duas maiores contas de mídias sociais. Logo, acredita-se que a empresa vai lançar o logotipo reformulado a qualquer momento.
Esta é a segunda vez que a Netflix atualiza sua identidade visual. A primeira mudança ocorreu em 2014, quando trocou seu logotipo da era DVD, com fundo vermelho e fonte old school, para um design mais enxuto e plano. Muitos não gostaram, como acontece na maioria das transições.

It can be said that Zebra has entered the location tech ecosystem quietly.
The company got its start providing printer supplies, ID scanners, and related products. But over the years, Zebra has evolved through the acquisition of several different location solutions, beginning with its expansion into RFID smart label manufacturing a decade ago. Following acquisitions included Swecoin and real-time locating system WhereNet.
Then, in 2014, Zebra made its biggest move: It bought Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise business in a $3.45 billion transaction, a bid to advance its mobile marketing and data capabilities.
Now, the company is exploring new ways to communicate with mobile consumers in the beacon space. In fact, Zebra powered Macy’s Black Friday 2015 “walk in and win” beacon-based campaign.
At this stage, Zebra’s efforts to rebrand itself as a player in the location and connected technologies space are clear — and that’s a large part of what led to this most recent development: Innovation in IoT with the smart fridge technology.
“Zebra has a foothold in devices that capture data,” Allison McDonald, global product marketing specialist at Zebra, told GeoMarketing, referring to the company’s printer origins, as well as the acquisition of Motorola. “That’s where the innovation is coming from and will continue to grow from.”

Concept art is developed in several iterations.
Artists try several designs
to achieve the desired result for the work,

Designs are filtered and refined
in stages to narrow down the options.
Concept art is not only used
to develop the work,
but also to show the project's progress

Who popularized or even invented the term "concept art"
in reference to pre-production design
