Born on the Slovak-Czech border and moved to England while young, gave me the advantage of native fluency in speaking, listening and writing in all three languages.

I have 17 years experience in translating and interpreting, with 7 years in medical, technical, business, financial, gaming and legal translation, preferred translation tool: Trados Studio.

I also hold a degree in English Literature and am therefore comfortable with creative writing projects and have a TEFL qualification. My background is not only technical (electrotechnical college) but also creative (Literature studies) with experience in editing and of course proofreading. Added to the mix is teaching, which is what I do besides translation and editing. As a day job as well as online.

Starting up as a community translator and interpreter and moving into professional translation field, I enjoy translating technical, legal and medical assignments, and have experience in translating games, apps, websites, and have worked on several projects for the retail industry with great success. Generally I use a number of CAT tools, depending on project requirements. I am happy to work on client specific platform, as several of my long term clients have their own proprietary pages created for this purpose, as well as complete tests throughout the interview process. Daily assignments fit in well and in the past 17 years I have not missed a deadline.
