Source text - English “I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
English to Arabic: Coming of Age
Source text - English Yesterday, I was a child with pictures and symbols crowded upon the walls of my chamber. And this morning I was but half a man, with only a cross hanging upon my wall. But tonight, I am complete with nothing upon my chamber walls.
Perhaps the pictures and symbols were of my youth. And I was wanting to be admired by others. Perhaps the cross was a symbol of my coming of age, a symbol of maturity, of my desire to be loved by God.
Now my walls are white and my wanting is fulfilled. For I am accepting of myself. And yes, I am loved by God and all others.
Translation - Arabic
English to Arabic: The Divine Religion
Source text - English Upon an afternoon in Spring, four men of different races and creeds gathered to pray and worship in the open fields.
The first man stood with his arms spread wide and with his palms facing the heavens. The second man, with his palms held close together at his breast, knelt upon the fresh green grass. The third man sat comfortably in a lotus position with the thumb touching the middle finger in each hand. The fourth man however simply stood and watched from afar in wonder.
After a while, the other three said unto the fourth: Why have you chosen to be far from us? Come join in our worship and meditation!
And the fourth man replied: In my beholding of you, I am in worship and praise. And they all continued in their afternoon prayer.
Translation - Arabic
