What is parent category
Usually categories are organized into levels to help customerseasily browse the store. Select a location for the new category. Youcan either put the new category at top level or subordinate it to anexisting category. The list of existing categories is provided in adrop-down menu. To put category at top level choose 'Top Level',otherwise select a category to which the new category belongs.
What is category name
Category name is used to identify the new category in both Admin Panel and Store Front.
What is category description
Category description appears on top of category page at Store Front and is visible to customers.
Tip: Whenyou submit a category description you can write an interesting text ora pro-active message to promote the products you included in thecategory.
How to choose a layout
You can use a default layout for this category page, or apply a custom layout created by you. Read more in Layouts topic.
What are SEO keywords
Write keyword phrases which briefly outline the contents of thecategory. Separate phrases with comma. These keyword phrases are usedby search engines to index your store. Read more in Full SEO topic, step 3 "Add Meta Tags to your products and categories".
What is SEO description
Write a sentence/phrase describing the category. This is used insearch engine indexing together with SEO keywords. Read more in Full SEO topic, step 3 "Add Meta Tags to your products and categories".
What is Manufacturers management
>> Open Summer Cart admin panel
>> Go to the Store menu, under 'Products' click on Manufacturers link.
'Manufacturers' page shows manufacturers whose products you offer at the store.
Use 'Manufacturers' page to display on the website some or all of the manufacturers you work with. You can present manufacturers by name, arrange sort order and provide a direct or referral link. Manufacturers list is visible in the left- or right-side column (depending on your custom layout configuration) on Home page of Store Front. In the Admin Panel you can also delete a manufacturer.
Manufacturers Company or Brand Name
Provide a company name or a brand name to present manufacturers and brands at your store.
Website Address
Please provide a full website address starting with HTTP://, for example http://www.manufacturer.com , and also be sure that all links are working. It is advisable that you regularly check for dead links.
Tip: When presenting a manufacturer you can possibly use a referral link rather than a direct link. Referral links are typically used to track sales leads and could encourage partnership relations.
Arrange sort order
Manufacturers appear in a drop-down list, in 'Manufacturers' box on Home page. You can arrange manufacturers (with and ) any way you like - by priority, by popularity, alphabetically and so on.
Sort by name and website address
You can sort manufacturers list by name or by website address. Just click on in the column of choice.
Filter manufacturers
You can filter manufacturers by 3 criteria: ID number, name and website address. Type full or partial name or ID number, as well as full or partial website link, in the corresponding filter fields to narrow your search.
Tip: Find a manufacturer in a glimpse by typing first letters of the name.
What are product classes and product attributes
A product class is a group of specific characteristics. These specific characteristics are used to compare and distinguish one-type products.
Example: There are plenty of notebooks to buy from. However, they differ in terms of screen size, operating system, CPU speed, weight and so on.
These characteristics are called attributes , and because they are typical for notebooks we can group them into a product class NOTEBOOKS.
The most important usage of product classes and attributes are:
- they allow store customers to compare products by specific characteristics
- they allow store customers to perform feature-specific search
As a result, your customers at the online store will be able to browse and compare products at given criteria and buy the best match for them.
How to use product classes
>> Open Summer Cart admin panel
>> Go to the Store menu, under 'Products' click on Product classes link.
'Product classes' are the first thing to do if you want to have a very useful product comparison at your store, and feature-specific browsing for products.
Use 'Product classes' page to create a new product class (e.g. Notebooks) and define the belonging attributes (e.g. operating system, weight, CPU speed, display size, etc). You can also edit or delete a product class, as well as add, edit and delete specific product attributes. You can use 5 types of attributes
Create a product class and add attributes
A product class usually has a collective name like Mobile phones, Cameras, Desktop PCs, and includes attributes that are specific and important for that type of products.
Example:
Product class "Mobile phones" may have Bluetooth, GPRS, 'MP3 player', 'Talk-time' and other attributes.
Product class "Cameras" may have 'Megapixels', 'Optical zoom', 'Display size' and other attributes.
Product class "Desktop PCs" may have RAM, 'Hard drive size', 'Operating system' and other attributes.
1. Go to the Store menu, under 'Products' click on Product classes link. 'Product classes' appear.
2. Click on 'New product class' button. 'Create product class' appears.
3. Give a name to the new product class.
Example: Mobile phones, Cameras, Desktop PCs, Printers, Camcorders, etc
4. Add attributes and fill in parameters for each attribute. Use to add as many attributes as you like.
After you created a product class and its attributes, you need to match them to each and every relevant product.
A product class has to be properly assigned to every relevant product.
Example: A product class NOTEBOOKS has to be assigned to each and every notebook in your store.
Go to the Store menu, under 'Products' click on Products link. Find a product, open
'Edit Product' page and go to 'Attributes' tab where you will fill in the necessary data.
Attribute types
An attribute describes a specific characteristic of a product. Practically attributes may be of various kind - internal technical attribute (hard drive size of a PC), external attribute (dimensions and weight), add-on accessories (bag), warranty period and so on.
Summer Cart provides you with 5 attribute types:
• text - this field can be NO VALIDATOR or NUMBER
• multi-language text
• drop-down menu
• multiple select
• radio buttons
Assign a product class and attributes to a product
Once you have created a product class and configured the specific attributes it involves, you need to assign that product class to a matching product.
1. Go to menu Store >>> 'Products' section >>> Products
2. Select a product and open 'Attributes' tab
3. Choose Product Class from the drop-down list.
What is Orders management
>> Open Summer Cart admin panel
>> Go to the Store menu, under 'Sales' click on Orders link.
'Orders' page shows all orders placed with your Summer cart store.
Use 'Orders' page to check up new orders, update the progress and status of new and existing orders, print invoices and packing slips for delivery.
The latest orders appear on top of orders list.

Chronological List of Orders
The list of recent orders includes newly placed orders and processed orders with different statuses, starting with the most recent orders.
Order Status
Each order has 'Order Status' drop-down menu and allows you to indicate the progress of an order. There are 10 predefined order statuses, and additionally you can create your own order statuses.
You can create custom order statuses at the Settings menu, through Store Configuration >>> Order Statuses link in the Summer Cart admin panel. See detailed instructions in Order Statuses topic.
Sort Orders in 5 ways
You have 5 ways to review orders: by ID number, by status, by customer's email address, by date of placement and by order amount. To sort orders click on icon after a chosen sort criteria.
(triangle up) – orders are sorted in a descending way
(triangle down) – orders are sorted in an ascending way
Search orders
Use 'Search orders' form to find out one or more particular orders amongst all. Use the following search criteria to narrow your search:
Order ID Fill in a full order id number to find that particular order
Customer email Fill in exact or partial email address of a customer to view all orders placed by this buyer
Order Status Check or uncheck the statuses to narrow your search to orders with a particular status
Period Use radio buttons, drop-down menus and calendars to specify the time when orders were placed
Tip: You can use 'Search orders' as a marketing tool. For example, you can find customers who placed orders in last year's Thanksgiving week and offer them special discounts for purchases at this year's Thanksgiving holiday.
Quick Reference Info
'Orders' page provides you some information for quick reference: order ID, order status, customer email, order date and order total. To see full details use Details link at the end of each row. Details link opens 'Order details' page where you will find complete information about ordered products, billing and shipping address and will be able to print invoices and packing slips.
Bulk Management Buttons
There are 4 bulk management buttons:
Delete Allows you to delete more than one order at a time by using check marks.
Update Status Allows you to update the statuses of more than one order at a time. Just use the drop-down menus to select appropriate statuses for the orders and click 'Update Statuses' button. The 'Update Statuses' button updates all order statuses, not just the checked orders.
Print Invoices Allows you to print invoices for all selected orders. Each invoice is printed on a separate page.
Print Packing Slips Allows you to print packing slips for all selected orders. Each packing slip is printed on a separate page.
What are customer groups
Customer groups allow you to sell at different prices to different types of customers like end customers, distributors, resellers and so on. You can easily define levels of wholesale prices and quantity discounts. From one and the same Summer Cart store you will easily manage both Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business sales.
How to use customer groups
>> Open Summer Cart admin panel
>> Go to the Store menu, under 'Sales' click on Customer groups link.
'Customer groups' page enables you to define types of customers whom you offer different levels of pricing. Here you can create new customer groups, edit or delete the existing ones. You can create unlimited number of customer groups, and easily manage them with the help of sorting and filtering options.
Important: Once created, a customer group has to be correctly assigned to each and every relevant customer. Go to Store >>> Customers menu, click on a customer name and use ICON drop-down .
Default customer group
You should always have one customer group selected as DEFAULT. Summer Cart comes to you with two pre-defined customer groups - retail and distributor, retail customer group is set as DEFAULT. You can change it in one click.
Important: Whenever a person comes to your online store, he/she will see product prices that correspond to the default customer group. ONLY AFTER the person logs in as a registered user, the Summer Cart system will recognize what customer group the person belongs to, and he/she will see the relevant prices.
Summer Cart store is set by default to show retail prices, end user prices, because the retail customer group is a default setting.
Customer groups and wholesale prices
Each customer group may have its own specific level of product pricing. You can set up different prices for a product, depending on customer groups, through the 'Prices' tab in 'Edit product' page. Summer Cart makes it easy to define wholesale prices per product and discounts for bigger quantity.

Delete customer group
Go to the Store menu, under 'Sales' click on Customer groups link. 'Customer groups' page appears. Find the group you wish to delete and click on at the end of its row. Confirm you wish to delete this customer group in a pop-up window.
Important: You cannot delete a customer group if there are customers assigned to it. In that case, firstly you will have to re-assign those customers to another customer group.
VERY IMPORTANT: When you delete a customer group, you will also immediately delete the corresponding product prices.

Ürün sınıfları ve ürün nitelikleri nelerdir
Bir ürün sınıfı bir grup özgün özelliktir. Bu özgün özellikler tek türdeki ürünleri karşılaştırmak ve ayırt etmek için kullanılır.
Örnek: Satın alacak çok sayıda notebook var. Ancak, bunlar ekran boyutu, işletim sistemi, CPU hızı, ağırlığı ve benzeri özelliklere göre farklılık gösterir.

Siparişleri gözden geçirmek için 5 yolunuz mevcuttur: Sipariş No’suna göre, durumuna göre, müşterinin e-posta adresine göre, sipariş giriş tarihine göre, ve sipariş miktarına göre sıralayarak. Siparişleri sıralamak için seçilen bir sıralama kriterinin yanındaki ilgili ikona tıklayabilirsiniz.

Kolaylıkla toptan fiyatlar ve miktar indirimleri tanımlayabilirsiniz. Sınırsız sayıda müşteri grupları oluşturabilirsiniz ve sıralama ve filtreleme seçeneklerinin yardımıyla kolaylıkla onları yönetebilirsiniz.

Her zaman için en az bir tane müşteri grubunuz VARSAYILAN olarak seçili olmalıdır. Yaz Sepeti size halihazırda kurulu iki adet önceden tanımlanmış grupla sunulmaktadır – perakende ve distribütör, perakende müşteri grubu ise VARSAYILAN olarak seçilidir. Bu durumu sadece bir tek tıklamayla değiştirebilirsiniz.
Önemli: Ne zaman birisi sizin çevrimiçi mağazanıza gelse, o varsayılan müşteri grubuna tekabül eden fiyatları görecektir.
