My mother tongue is French, and I speak both French and English fluently.
I have taught French and English for the past twenty-five years and I have been doing freelance translations on a limited basis for twenty-two years. I am retired from teaching at the senior high school level.
I now teach conversational French to civil servants ten hours per week. The remainder of my time is dedicated to doing freelance translations and film editing.
I attended McGill University doing post graduate courses in French literature, language and translations from 1986-1989.
I traveled in France and Great Britain a number of times, and I spent the summer of 1992 in Paris taking a course - La Belle Époque- sponsored by Berkley University.
I completed an MA in Education and Leadership at San Diego State University from 1996-1998.
I attended Avid Film Camp in Portland, Oregon during the summer of 2000 where I worked on editing a film for a young Hollywood producer. |
