Bio
I am a Greek native speaker, currently living and working in Strasbourg, France. I have a strong educational background in Arts and Humanities , my main field of specialization. I have participated, among others, to the translation of texts concerning architectural photography, educational sites and collaborated with the "Arte Info Production" Journal of the Arte Channel for the translation of documentaries concerning cultural and political matters in Grece.

However, due to my studies in Translation (Master in Professional Translation, Institut de Traducteurs, d' Interpretes et de Relations Internationales, Univeristy of Strasbourg) as well as a traineeship in the Council of the European Union in Brussels, I was given the chance to work on many other kinds of texts, mainly of technical, medical or law context. Furthermore, a recent collaboration with civil courts in the region of Alsace, France, has given me the opportunity to work more systematically on the translation and interpretation of legal affairs, mainly concerning the french legal system.

I have lived and studied in four different European countries: Greece, Italy, England and France. The nature of my studies, particularly demanding in terms of language expression, as well as the fact of living in each of these countries for a long period of time, allowed me to familirize with the respective languages and cultures. I always go back to this experience while translating, as I consider that language is mainly a tool to express different perceptions of life and not a standard, well-defined code in itself.

At the moment, as a passionate for arts and creative translations- and as a woman having always been interested in beauty products- I am seriously motivated and give a second priority to the domain of cosmetics. But I can seriously take up and deliver in time any other kind of text, as challenging as it may be. After all, this is what I was trained to do!
