BHMAC radi projekte trajnog obilježavanja, vodi evidenciju i kontroliše kvalitet radova. Po završetku radova nosilac aktivnosti (općina) i izvođač sačinjavaju zapisnik o završetku radova trajnog obilježavanja. Zapisnik dat u prilogu D.
Translation - English a) In semi-permanent marking, wooden pickets are used (5x5 cm in diameter) at maximum distance of 6 m, connected with plastic mine tape, rope or a wire at the height of 0,25 m and 1,25 m from the ground level, with mine signs at maximum distance up to 18 m (every third picket). This manner of marking is easily distinguished and sufficient to warn a person of MINE threat.
When a semi-permanent fence is combined with individual mine signs, the stated mine signs will be of square shape, with minimum dimensions of 40x40 cm, placed on a wooden stick at maximum distance of 50 m, taking into consideration that they are visible from one to another.
Sketch of such mine fence and individual semi-marking mine sign is shown further in text.
Semi-permanent marking is used for marking the boundary of completed demining tasks (clearance or AWDR in technical survey) with the risk areas, where continuation of work is planned within up to a year. In order to safely maintain the marking, it is to be set minimum 2 m before reached boundary, which is marked through final marking (Chapter VIII, Annex C).

Source text - English There was no light, so there was nothing to see. I closed my eyes. I took a really big breath -- when one had jelly bones and the rest of one was pretty stretchy one could take a really big breath -- and dove to the bottom of the enclosed pool, feeling along the walls for anything useful. A crack, perhaps, or a drain I could pull the plug from or unscrew or otherwise manipulate. My fingers had the ability to shape and harden or soften as I directed them. Most of my body did. A screwdriver from an index finger was nothing, Phillips or flathead, I didn't care, although turning a screw was a bit more involved, since all of me had to turn.
The inner surface of the pool was smoother than most surfaces I had encountered. It didn't even have any corners, just curves. It reminded me of glazed porcelain, pleasant to feel even though it was cool to the touch. For a while I rolled along the walls, enjoying the smoothness against my skin. But tactile pleasure wouldn't do me much good in this situation if I ran out of air.
Podsjetila me na uglačani porculan ugodan no prilično hladnjikav na dodir. No osjetilno zadovoljstvo mi neće baš puno poslužiti u ovakvoj situaciji kad ostanem bez zraka.

PHILLIP QUINN died at the age of thirteen. Since the overworked and underpaid staff at the Baltimore City Hospital emergency room zapped him back in less than ninety seconds, he wasn't dead very long.
As far as he was concerned, it was plenty long enough.
What had killed him, briefly, were two .25-caliber bullets pumped out of a Saturday night special shoved through the open window of a stolen Toyota Celica. The finger on the trigger had belonged to a close personal friend—or as near to a close personal friend as a thirteen-year-old thief could claim on Baltimore's bad streets.
The bullets missed his heart. Not by much, but in later years Phillip considered it just far enough.
That heart, young and strong, though sadly jaded, continued to beat as he lay there, pouring blood over the used condoms and crack vials in the stinking gutter on the corner of Fayette and Paca.
The pain was obscene, like sharp, burning icicles stabbing into his chest. But that grinning pain refused to take him under, into the release of unconsciousness. He lay awake and aware, hearing the screams of other victims or bystanders, the squeal of brakes, the revving of engines, and his own ragged and rapid breaths.
He'd just fenced a small haul of electronics that he'd stolen from a third-story walk-up less than four blocks away. He had two hundred fifty dollars in his pocket and had swaggered down to score a dime bag to help him get through the night. Since he'd just been sprung from ninety days in juvie for another B and E that hadn't gone quite so smoothly, he'd been out of the loop. And out of cash.
