English to Spanish: Stereotyping (task for current university course on translation) text from: http://www.kwintessential.co.uk/cultural-services/articles/stereotypes-intercultural.html General field: Social Sciences
Source text - English 4. Avoid Herd Mentality
Herd mentality refers to a closed and one dimensional approach. Such a way of thinking curbs creativity, innovation and advancement as people are restricted in how to think, approach and engage with people or challenges. Cultural competency can only develop if people are encouraged to think as individuals, bring their cultural influences to the table and share ideas that may be outside the box.
Translation - Spanish 4.

Translation - English Then came the moment when the very Count Dracula showed up, this time impersonated by actor Antonio Monroi (whose face and voice resemble Vlad Tepes very own, as noted by Vicente Quirarte). We were all then Harker, welcome to the dominion of the Dragon’s Covenant, presented to us live. Its ancestors and history glowed through the walls in an ethereal manner. The air turned cold and announced that with those words a veil was taken away despite of our exit from the enclosure that held us in during this time (for as long as it lasted) and that it would never rise, will never rise, since Dracula’s voice remains as strong as it was in the year 1897, when it covered the world for the very first time.
