Source text - Arabic تم أمس فتح باب التبرعات للمواطنين العمانيين لمساعدة اخوانهم المتضررين من جراء الاعصار المداري «جونو» الذي أثر على محافظة مسقط وبعض مناطق السلطنة خلال الايام الماضية.
وقال مصدر مسؤول في اللجنة الوطنية للدفاع المدني: انه تم تخصيص مركز عمان الدولي للمعارض بالسيب لاستقبال وجمع التبرعات بمختلفة أنواعها، وذلك بهدف توزيعها بالسرعة الممكنة على المتضررين من المواطنين والمقيمين وأن وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية سوف تتولى توزيع هذه التبرعات والمؤن.
وكان عدد ضحايا الاعصار قد ارتفع الى 49 شخصا بينما بلغ عدد المفقودين 27 شخصا ، وقال مصدر مسؤول بشرطة عمان السلطانية ان جهود الاغاثة والبحث عن المفقودين ما زالت مستمرة وان الطائرات العمودية تعمل من اجل انجاز هذه المهمة.
وقال معالي الفريق مالك بن سليمان المعمري المفتش العام للشرطة والجمارك رئيس اللجنة الوطنية للدفاع المدني انه تم تحقيق جزء كبير من الأعمال المتعلقة بإعادة الأوضاع الى ما كانت عليه قبل الاعصار مشيرا إلى ان الماء والكهرباء والهاتف يتم إعادتها وإصلاح الأجهزة التي تأثرت بأعطال من جراء الإعصار ولا تزال جهود هذه المؤسسات متواصلة ويعمل المختصون ليل نهار على تحقيق هذا الهدف.
ويشارك نحو 300 كشاف وجوال وقائد يمثلون المديرية العامة للكشافة والمرشدات حاليا في الجهود الكبيرة التي تبذلها الجهات الحكومية في مختلف مناطق السلطنة، كما أعلنت وزارة الداخلية عن فتح مكاتب أصحاب السعادة الولاة على مدار الساعة حيث تقوم هذه المكاتب بتوجيه المواطنين إلى أماكن الإيواء التي يمكن ان يتوجهوا إليها، إضافة الى توفير المستلزمات.
| Translation - English Yesterday, Omani citizens were given the opportunity to make donations to help their fellow citizens who were victims of tropical storm “Juno” that affected Muscat Governorate and some other regions in the Sultanate in the past few days.
An official source in the Civil Defense National Committee said that Oman’s International Exhibition Center in Al Seeb was dedicated for the collection of donations of all kinds to be distributed, as quickly as possible, to all the victims, both citizens and residents. The Ministry of Social Development will undertake the responsibility of distributing those donations and supplies.
The number of casualties has risen to 49 dead and 27 missing. An official source within the Royal Oman Police said that search and rescue efforts continue and that helicopters are working to achieve this goal. His Excellency, chairman Malik Ben Suleiman Al Muammary, inspector general of the police and customs and head of the Civil Defense National Committee, said that a significant part of the activities related to restoring the normal conditions has been completed. He indicated that water, electricity and phone services are being restored, equipment that were affected by the hurricane are being repaired and that these organizations continue their efforts day and night to achieve that goal.
