Conventional vehicle audio system includes radio receiver, CD player and other ordinary devices installed in a vehicle. With the progress and development of audio and video technology, a new audio player MP3 without need of mechanical driving has been widely used. In order to make the vehicle audio system accessible by external devices, receive input signals from devices such as a MP3 player, and avoid assembly complexity, it is necessary to set up a vehicle audio input terminal device in a vehicle.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It is an object of the utility model to provide a vehicle audio input terminal device which facilitates connecting to various external players without need of change in an original vehicle audio system.
The vehicle audio input terminal device of the utility model comprises an audio signal input jack and a double pole changeover switch, and the number of contacts of the double pole changeover switch is determined according to sound track numbers of an audio input signal. An upper fixed contact of the double pole changeover switch is connected to an audio signal output terminal of a vehicle audio system, and a lower fixed contact of the double pole changeover switch is connected to an audio signal terminal of the audio signal input jack. A movable contact of the double pole changeover switch is connected to a power amplifier input terminal of the vehicle audio system.
In the vehicle audio input terminal device as described above, the double pole changeover switch further comprises interference elimination contacts, wherein a movable contact of the interference elimination contacts is connected to the audio signal output terminal of the vehicle audio system, a lower fixed contact is grounded, and an upper fixed contact is floated.
In the vehicle audio input terminal device as described above, the power amplifier input terminal of the vehicle audio system is connected to the movable contact of the double pole changeover switch via an audio volume adjustment potentiometer.
By means of a solution of adding an input terminal device to a front end of a vehicle radio receiver, audio signals from external players such as a MP3 player are sent to a power amplifier and a speaker of the vehicle so that the external players can be used easily without need of change in the original vehicle audio system while keeping the portability and easy use features of the external players.

A specific circuit principle diagram of the utility model is shown in figure 1. In the figure 1, the double pole changeover switch K1 has two sets of contacts in accordance with a mono track circuit structure, and it may have four sets of contacts under the circumstance of a stereo track circuit structure. The double pole changeover switch K1 includes an audio signal terminal and a corresponding ground terminal for shorting an audio signal. The contact 1 and the contact 3 of the double pole changeover switch K1 as shown in figure 1 are audio signal terminals, and the contact 1 is connected to the audio signal output terminal of the vehicle radio receiver; the contact 3 is connected to the audio signal terminal of the audio signal input jack; the movable contact 5 is connected to a non-grounded terminal of the sound volume adjustment potentiometer W1 of the radio receiver circuit; the contact 2 is floated; the movable contact 6 is coupled to the audio signal output terminal of the demodulation circuit of the vehicle radio receiver; the contact 4 is grounded. Under the condition of the movable contact 5 and contact 6 of the double pole changeover switch K1 being coupled to the contact 1 and the contact 2, the vehicle radio receiver is selected for play; when the movable contact 5 and the movable contact 6 is connected to the contact 2 and the contact 4, an external device is selected for play, and under this circumstance the audio signal of the original radio receiver is connected to the ground to eliminate the interferences to the back stage.
The changeover switch and the audio signal input jack are all ordinary double pole changeover switch and jack. They may be installed on a radio receiver control panel of a vehicle. By connecting an audio output connector of a MP 3 player to the audio signal input jack, and setting the changeover switch to the external device play position, the object of playing MP 3 music through a vehicle audio system is implemented.
WHAT IS CLAIMED IS:
1. A vehicle audio input terminal device, characterized in that the vehicle audio input terminal device comprises an audio signal input jack and a double pole changeover switch, and wherein the number of contacts of the double pole changeover switch is determined in accordance with sound track numbers of an audio input signal, an upper fixed contact of the double pole changeover switch is connected to an audio signal output terminal of a vehicle audio system, a lower fixed contact of the double pole changeover switch is connected to an audio signal terminal of the audio signal input jack, an movable contact of the double pole changeover switch is connected to a power amplifier input terminal of a vehicle audio system.
2. The vehicle audio input terminal device as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the double pole changeover switch further comprises interference elimination contacts, and wherein an movable contact of the interference elimination contacts is connected to the audio signal output terminal of the vehicle audio system, a lower fixed contact is grounded, and an upper fixed contact is floated.
3. The vehicle audio input terminal device as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the power amplifier input terminal of the vehicle audio system is connected to the movable contact of the double pole changeover switch via a sound volume adjustment potentiometer.

[0001] The present application relates to a shoring post, in particular to a telescoping shoring post used in systems used for construction.
BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION
[0002] In typical construction systems, a shoring post is used to help support objects, usually a ceiling or roof. With varying heights of ceilings, it is obviously beneficial to have a shoring post that capable of being quickly adjusted from one height to another, while at the same time ensuring a safe work environment for all workers.
[0003] Truss systems, such as those outlined in US Patent No. 6,116,567 exist, and involve screw jacks that rotate around the post to adjust the height of the post. While this is fine for small adjustments, if one wishes to extend or retract the post several feet, this could be very time consuming.
[0004] Another type of shoring post, described in Canadian Patent No. 2,249,921, is adjustable and can be used in a system or on their own. These types of shoring posts use a screw, while others of a similar type use a pin-type assembly. While both of these allow for the post to be extended quicker than a screw-jack type, they require the use of small screws and pins, which may not only be difficult to use, but are also easily lost.
[0005] A further prior art post is disclosed in US Patent No. 5,653,415 to Peri GmBH. The ‘415 post can be adjusted using pins for quick adjustment to the approximate height, and then a fine adjustment means. The problem with pins is that they can easily be lost and are an extra component that is required when erecting/disassembling the post.
[0006] There remains a need for a telescopic shoring post that can be quickly adjusted from one position to another.
[0007] There also remains a need for a shoring post of simpler design, with significantly fewer pieces involved.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The present invention overcomes the deficiencies of the prior art by providing a shoring post, comprising a hollow outer leg, a plurality of slots along the length of the outer leg, an inner leg dimensioned to fit within the outer leg, a tongue plate welded to one end of the inner leg, the tongue plate including a plurality of tongue members, wherein the inner leg may be rotated within the outer leg from a first position where the tongue members are fully within the outer leg, and a second position where the tongue members extend through the slot, locking the inner leg in position relative to the outer leg.
[0009] Additionally, the preferred embodiment of the shoring post includes an adjusting screw assembly, an adjusting handle, and a plurality of support pins, where the screw assembly is used for fine adjustments to the length of the post. There is also a lower outer leg at the opposite end of the screw assembly. Another addition to the preferred embodiment includes a plurality of grooves along the length of the inner leg and the outer leg.
[0010] The present application therefore provides a telescoping post shore comprising: an outer tube; a plurality of slots disposed longitudinally along said outer tube; an inner tube; at least one tongue member affixed to said inner tube and projecting from said inner tube, said at least one tongue member configured to be received by said plurality of slots; wherein said inner tube and at least one tongue member are dimensioned to slide within said outer tube and said inner tube and at least one tongue member can be rotated within said outer tube to engage said at least one tongue member with at least one of said plurality of slots.

An access provider network (APN) that includes an always-on packet data serving node (PDSN) may be used to communicate over a wireless communication link with a mobile station. The PDSN may include an inactivity timer and may be used to set the inactivity timer to an inactivity timer starting value and send a starting value estimate to the mobile station over the wireless communication link, wherein the starting value estimate is a function of the inactivity timer starting value. The mobile station may include an inactivity timer estimate and may be used to receive the starting value estimate and set the inactivity timer estimate to the starting value estimate.
