I was born in Denmark and grew up bilingually as part of the Danish Minority in Germany (Sydslesvig), meaning practically spoken I would attend a Danish kindergarten, Danish schools, go to the Danish library, read the Danish newspaper... you get the idea - all whilst living in Germany. Hence both cultures have been an equally big part of my upbringing.
During my adolescence I was so fortunate to spend most of my summers on international camps where I would learn to speak English at a quite young age and get a unique view on many different cultures around the world and therefore a good cultural understanding. When I was 16 years old I went on a high school exchange to Chile where I learned to speak Spanish.
After graduating I was living in Denmark for 8 months before going on a year-long travel along the Panamericana (starting on Tierra del Fuego and ending in Alaska). After returning I spent 3 months in Lyon, France, before moving to Berlin.
Learning languages has been a passion of mine as long as I can remember and I have never stopped learning. At the moment I am in the process of learning Portuguese and Swahili.
