Translation - English The “Champagne Of Teas” Aromatizes “The Land Of Lightning”
Hugged by the flavour of French grapes and caressed by the pristine air of the Himalayas, grows the gourmet tea of Darjeeling. The Darjeeling tea, with its delicate texture and distinguished floral aroma, enchants the tea connoisseurs around the world, who like to call it “Muscatel”.
The concept of tea in the West Bengal of India was introduced in the first half of the 19th century by a British superintendent, Arthur Campbell. Consequently, the government established nurseries of tea in the region, giving birth to this highly sought-after infusion. Originating from the tiny Chinese leaves called Camellia sinensis, upon being properly brewed, these produce a subtle-coloured sweet liqueur that deserves to be savoured sip by sip.
The immensely fragrant leaves are harvested with utmost precision in cool temperatures and humid climates. Every “flush” period yields a different variety such as the Oolong Tea, Green Tea, White Tea and Traditional Tea, each of which stands out due to its exclusive characteristic.
Replete in caffeine and catechins, it’s a natural stimulant for the nervous system, metabolism and fat-burning process. Thanks to the abundance of polyphenols, this elixir can help control hypertension and obesity.
