English to Spanish: China boosts global economy
Source text - English China boosts global economy
The latest statistics indicate that China is currently the greatest contributor to the global economic growth, above the US.
According to Lin Jianhai, secretary general of IMF, in the 90s, emerging economies were responsible for 25% of global growth. Between 2000 and 2007, that contribution continued growing. After the financial crisis, the contribution represented three quarter of global growth, with a third part of it coming from China.
In an article published on the newspaper People´s Diary, MeiYuxin, researcher from the Chinese Academy of International Commerce and Economic Cooperation, explains how the Asian nation has boosted world economy.
"In the first place, China provides a great amount of cheap products, especially for low-income countries.
At the same time, products made in China, thanks to their high efficiency and costs' advantages, have successfully released the inflationary pressure in the US and other importing countries", he states. He also thinks that "China has kept the growth rate faster for more than a decade, offering many export opportunities for its commercial partners" and that "China is steadily growing its inversion abroad". "In the last decade, the economic growth of some developing countries has depended on the bilateral commerce and the direct Chinese inversion", he says.
In the World Economic Outlook, recently published by IMF, the predictions about the economic growth of most developed economies have been reduced, but China's remain steady. It's been foreseen a 7.5 for 2014 and 7.1 for 2015.
