L’objet de ce « research paper » est de présenter les principaux mythes qui accompagnent l’émergence des big data avec un double objectif pour le groupe :
• Déconstruire le contenu mythique de certaines des promesses des big data,
• Analyser ce que pourraient être la ou les formes et usages des big data en s’appuyant sur l’histoire des déploiements technologiques qui ont vu les découvertes scientifiques et techniques s’inscrire dans des contextes sociaux et historiques particuliers.
Translation - English The subject of big data has generated an impressive number of articles and dossiers. This enthusiasm has been accompanied by imaginary constructs as well as future global and sectoral visions.
The purpose of this “research paper” is to present the major myths which accompany the emergence of the big data with twin objectives for the group:
• Deconstruct the mythical content from some of the big data promises.
• Analyze what could be the form(s) and use(s) of big data based on the history of technological deployments which have witnessed the scientific and technical discoveries being incorporated within specific social and historical contexts...
I graduated in French literature and and went on to pursue master’s degree in Translation (Distinction) from Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi, known internationally as one of the premier institutions for English and Foreign languages teaching and research.
I have been a translator for over nine years and worked as an in-house translator as well as freelance individual translator for various multinationals, Government Organizations including the parliament of India and NGOs.
