Bio
I am a native national of Panama and a US Citizen who has lived and worked in Panama, United States, Ecuador, and Indonesia. For twenty years, I was an expatriate in a multicultural environment, becoming very knowledgeable with the multiple variations of the English and the Spanish languages according to regions. I currently live in my home country Panama for part of the year and in Oregon, United States for another part of the year.

I have a degree in Chemical Engineering and have worked in the Oil and Gas industry for more than fifteen years, both in English and Spanish environments. This provides me with the technical background to understand manuals, contracts, technical specifications not only in my industry but also in many similar fields. I am extremely comfortable and very competent in technical translation.

I also have graduate studies in the business administration field; have been a hands-on personal investor for years so I understand the financial terminology.

I am a Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI-Spanish) with the national Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters. I am also a registered certified medical interpereter in the state of Oregon.

I am a licensed Authorized Public Translator (Spanish-English, English-Spanish) in Panama. Since my licensing in 2012, I have translated:
• Technical and contractual documents (manuals, specifications, contracts) for the construction project of a mine by a multinational consortium contractor providing services by the owner of the mine with the official language project being English with workforce and client personnel of mixed language skills
• Translated, updated, proofread, and completed the book layout of a dual language (parallel printing) cookbook.
• Memorandum of Understanding for an NGO
• Fact sheets and relevant information of art pieces at museums
• Certificates and authentications
• Localizations to Spanish (Panama) for several clinical trial documents, tourism information, and financial/accounting documents
Prior to my licensing, I performed the following types of translations
• Financial documents in the upstream oil and gas industry
• Ophthalmology papers
• Forestry papers for work associated with for NGO's

I have a strong background in Governance, having participated in the boards of very large and very small not for profit organizations. Through these efforts, I have continuously embarked on new projects and initiatives that require fast learning curves, constant collaboration, and innovation. I am eager to learn and embark on new endeavors and I keep with technology constantly.

Because of my professional organizing skills, I am meticulous in my work and very organized. I am a fast learner, a thorough documentator, and efficient worker. My multicultural experience enables me to seek conflict resolution, motivate people correctly, and think outside the box.
