This free one-hour free webinar is about STAR

Language:English
Summary:Display and machine text, as well as software interfaces in the local language are required for many products and open new target markets. For translators, the localization market offers an opportunity to broaden their own range of services and to use their existing linguistic and specialist knowledge in additional projects. With Transit, you are equipped for the specific challenges of these projects as well: With dynamic length monitoring, you can immediately deliver the correct text lengths. With the integrated resource editor, you can adapt software dialogs in the target language.
In this webinar you will learn how to translate display text and localize software.
Agenda
As a short introduction, you will find out how diverse the formats for display- and software-texts can be. Using concrete examples, we will show you how you can use Excel sheets or proprietary text formats as the basis for display translation and, in doing so, how to keep the text lengths under control. We will also introduce the integrated resource editor, which you can use to adapt dialog elements (resizing) and to define hotkeys for menus, buttons and options. Finally, you will see that you can guarantee the quality of localization projects by using the usual format checks.

In this webinar, You will see what role layouts, views, and displays play when it comes to the display of terminological content. You will also learn why the design of the dictionaries, too, is relevant to their editing. You will get to know different possibilities for tailoring the design and editing of your dictionaries to your individual needs.
