Indigenous language group meets in Menindee

A group designed to promote a far west Indigenous language says there is still a long way to go to ensure the language does not die out.

The Paakantyi language circle has been meeting in Menindee this week to discuss how to teach the language and share resources.

Representatives from Broken Hill, Wilcannia, Menindee and Mildura attended the workshop, and the next meeting will be in Bourke.
