Dwayne Bailey, Managing Director of Translate (translate.org.za) at the 2012 LRC Internationalisation and Localisation Conference LRC XVII in Limerick on 21 September 2012 .

In this video he talks about Translate’s work in helping languages (big, small, marginal, under-resourced) participate in the localisation of the Mozilla Firefox web browser. The focus being on the lessons learnt that can then be used by other Social Localisers to reduce the effort of participation and increase the quality of contribution of volunteer translators. His work on Firefox covers translators with a range of language and technical skills and he will look at the thing that they have changed and technology that they have provided that has assisted many languages to participate. More.
