Nursing students held a protest outside the Quebec Order of Nurses office in December 2014, demanding that something be done to improve the testing process. See: English nursing students protest failed exams

The Quebec Order of Nurses report that 79 percent of French-speaking students passed the provincial exam in September 2014, as compared with 47 percent of English-speaking students. See: Order of Nurses reveals high failure rate of English nursing students

In response to protests, the Order of Nurses is adding a second translator to review the English exam and will be offering exam preparation sessions in English. Formerly, these sessions were offered in French only. See: Order of Nurses making translation changes following English exam problems
