Pro Bono Opportunity to help a non-profit that helps refugees

Job posted at: Jul 22, 2024 13:24 GMT   (GMT: Jul 22, 2024 13:24)

Job type: Translation/editing/proofing job
Services required: Translation, Checking/editing

Languages: English to Kurdish

Job description:
You may have heard of our ProZ Pro Bono program, which offers free translations to worthy non-profit charities and associations around the world. It is supported by many hundreds of volunteer translators who give a little time each week (or each month, depending on the language) to translating documents that primarily help refugees seeking traumatic situations to settle into their new homes. The areas we cover also include women's and children's rights, animal rights, education and the environment.

We are currently looking to build up our volunteer team in Pashto to help our client, Second Tree. They are working to challenge and transform the way that society perceives refugees. The translation is for the consent forms (required for parents to sign ahead of their child joining their classes). The languages required are Kurdish Badini & Kurmanji.

Pro Bono opportunities are unpaid: they are a chance to give back, or simply to build up your CV.

Thanks in advance
