I'm planning to compile a detailed list of practical information, including airport transfer, some time in March. As a prelimiary hint, a taxi would cost around HUF 4000 (EUR 16) to the hotel. There's also a minibus service that works out cheaper if you travel on your own. If there are at least two peope travelling together, a taxi is cheaper. By public transport, you need three tickets, costing a total of HUF 565 (EUR 2.1). It takes about an hour by public transport to... I would finally get to Budapest. I would come with my wife and stay Friday-Wednesday. Hotel information would be welcome. Cheers Heinrich | | | Mats Wiman Sweden Local time: 18:16 Member (2000) German to Swedish + ... In memoriam | Wizzair promotional sale through today | Jan 8, 2007 |
Looking into making my own arrangements, I noticed that Wizzair has a promotion running currently (through today). Apparently you can fly from Frankfurt to Budapest, for example, around the dates of the conference, for 0 euro (paying only taxes and fees.) See: http://www.wizzair.com | | | Special SkyEurope offers from Bergamo (Italy) | Jan 11, 2007 |
Special offers are on from SkyEurope from 9 to 14 January. I've seen a very good one from Orio al Serio (Bergamo) to Budapest at 0.07 x 2 + taxes, toatl approx 44 euros. Pamela

As far as I know the current campaign of SkyEurope is valid only for flights completed before March 25th, but you should double check. I also noticed on their website (www.skyeurope.com) that they recently added a Rimini-Budapest flight. There are many cities in Italy with a direct connection to Budapest: Torino, Bergamo, Venezia, Rimini, Firenze, Roma, Napoli and Palermo. | | | Steve Yates Local time: 17:16 Member (2007) German to English + ...
Is anybody else arriving at the airport on Friday at about 18:00 and if so, do you want to share a taxi? As a general idea for all those arriving at the airport on Friday and Saturday, maybe it is worth making a Proz sign and holding it up outside the arrivals hall. I expect it wouldn't take long for before being spotted by another delegate. | | | Eliza-Anna United Kingdom Local time: 17:16 Danish to English + ...
Please can you tell me how many people will fit into one taxi. Would taxis take six people, eight etc? Cheers | | | Csaba Ban Hungary Local time: 18:16 Member (2002) English to Hungarian + ... TOPIC STARTER
By default, three passengers fit in a taxi besides the driver. There are some larger taxis as well, but you have to specifically order them by phone.
