'Contact me' link doesn't work Thread poster: Maurizio Varriale
|
Hello Everyone,
I noticed a problem with the 'Contact me' link I published in my profile. A client told me he sent a message that I've never received. I did a test sending a message to myself and even in this case I didn't get anything. Now I am wondering how many messages I have never received for potential clients.
Is it anything I can do to fix this issue and to allow me to read all the messages never received?
Thanks
Best regards | | |
I sent you a message and an email through your profile | May 18 |
Maybe you need to submit a support ticket? They'll thank you for using the site and will probably pass it on to site developers etc. and maybe a solution will be found. Don't hold your breath though
Good luck! | | |
Didn't get the message (as expected) | May 18 |

Thanks Cilian, as expected I didn't get any message from you
I've already contacted proz to sort it out. Let's see what happens. It's a pity I just realized this link/feature doesn't work. Probably I've lost many interesting messages from potential clients

I wouldn't hold my breath on that account, either.

I have sent you a message, too, to test the feature. I have been affected by this problem for many months now. As I can see in my personal proz area, so many visitors of my proz profile also came across the "contact" area and nothing happened.

Did you check that the email address in your profile is correct and that a normal email sent to it is delivered?

I have a similar link in my profile, and the test email I sent to myself worked. So maybe there is a problem with your address or the messages are going into the spam folder. Feel free to test my link as well.

I tested it and I didn’t receive the copy I usually receive when I send a message through Proz.
I sent a message to myself through Proz and I haven't received it either. What's going on?
Let me doubt about that | May 18 |

Luckly this client contacted me on Linkedin too otherwise I would have missed it. And, believe me, it is a big client. That's very bad from proz

I tried to send a message to myself too, asking for a copy to be sent to myself. I only received the copy to myself ('On May 18, 2024, you sent the following message to Thomas T. Frost'), not the actual email.
This is probably related to their not very successful coding update, which has been causing bugs for months. It needs to be reported to support.
Same here - neither mail nor message reached me, just the copy of the mail. | May 18 |

But Folks, don't worry! Their technical support team and site developers are working on it.
Thomas, your "for months" is putting it very kindly.
