Profile guides are good Jan 3, 2014

One of the causes of the bad condition of translators IMHO is the poverty of translator profiles in directories and such like. The better the profiles, the more engaging and inviting (and reliable and friendly and whatever else it is) translators appear to their potential clients. It's probably easier to treat translators like machines (zombies, nameless resource, 'vendors' etc.) when they don't have a face and a story. Same goes for rates.
