The scheduled time is too early (7:00 AM in my time zone). People are getting children ready for school. Would there be another webinar scheduled at a better time?

Hi Victoria. ProZ.com does try to accommodate as many users and timezones as possible, but it is not always convenient for all. We will strive to conduct a series of webinars at a later time, perhaps next month. Thanks for the input. Drew

Unavailable! | Jan 29, 2013 |
I can't make the webinar but am really interested in it as a Trados newbie. This is the first time I'd have done a Proz webinar but I know with other providers there's been the option of signing up and getting a URL to go through it again another time. Is that possible here? I appreciate it wouldn't be live then but I think it would be really beneficial to me if that option were available.

Thanks everyone for your interest and questions. Allow me to provide some additional insight. Yes these free webinars are indeed 100% free. The system used to register attendees may have some automated reminder and follow up messaging that is intended to be used for all webinars, including those that have a fee. That language regarding "no refunds" is intended for paid webinars - you can disregard that for these free webinars. Si... See more Thanks everyone for your interest and questions. Simply register at http://www.proz.com/translator-training/course/7847-free_webinar_sdl_trados_studio_2011_tips_and_tricks and you will receive the links to join via email. Unfortunately certificates of attendance are not provided for these free webinars. As they are free and attended by 1,000's it is simply not possible to match registration with actual attendance so we do not issue certificates of attendance for free webinars. All the free webinars will be recorded and the recordings will be made available to registrants and attendees. If you register for the session, you will receive a link to the recording once the webinar ends - so if you cannot attend, it is best to still register so that you will receive the video recording links automatically via email. Thanks, and hope to "see" everyone at the free webinars next week. Drew ▲ Collapse

mention it under "conferences attended" in our profiles | Mar 19, 2013 |
Hi dear Drew, Is there any chance that you only list these webinars we attend under the title "conferences attended" in our profiles with no certificate or anything else. You can see an example of this in my profile. I attended the free webinar "Questions you have always wanted to ask 2013" and now it can be seen in my profile. I just want it be known by the visitors of my profile that I am sparing time to develop my skills and knowledge. Hope this is not too difficult ... Hi Mustafa - the "Questions you have always wanted to ask" event was a virtual event, and that is placed in profiles as some of those virtual events, like the big annual International Translation day event are eligible for ATA CE credits and therefore must have notification in attendees profiles for submitting CE credits. See more Hi Mustafa - the "Questions you have always wanted to ask" event was a virtual event, and that is placed in profiles as some of those virtual events, like the big annual International Translation day event are eligible for ATA CE credits and therefore must have notification in attendees profiles for submitting CE credits. This certificate/notice is tied in to not only registration, but attendance at the virtual event. ProZ.com can verify this automatically as the virtual event takes place on ProZ.com As the free webinars take place on the GoToWebinar platform there currently is no way to automatically (via API) verify attendance at the free webinars. The only option would be to manually check, and with 10,000+ attendees annually that simply is not possible. So unfortunately there is not a simple means to add confirmation/verification of attendance at free webinars. Attendees that want to showcase that to clients can certainly include that in the "about me" section of their ProZ.com profiles. Thanks for attending, appologies there is not a simple solution.
