about the location Jul 11, 2007

Thank you girls for the interest. I was thinking to hold the powwow in a central place like Grand Place, or a fairly known place, in case people from other towns or countries want to come and don't really know Brussels; but I'm open to suggestions. Plus we should take into consideration the fact that it might rain and we need a restaurant/cafe with a covered terrace. What do you think?

I am so sorry and so jealous at the same time. Finally, I will not make it before the end of August. Maybe we can organise sth else a bit later. For the cafes, I recommend St Gery.

time and place Jul 12, 2007

Hello people.

How about we meet at 18:00. For freelancers time shouldn't be much of a problem, but the people that work at the institutions and in other businesses usually finish by 17:30. Still, if it's too early, we could make it 19:00 or even postpone it to Saturday when we would have more time.

About the place. We could choose in the Grand Place area a terrace, maybe Le roy d'Espagne; or we can go to the Shuman area (James Joyce could be a choice).

Location - just a thought and suggestion Jul 19, 2007

Don't you think a quieter place, where we could stand and move around to meet each others at ease, would be more suitable? For exemple, "Le pain quotidien", rue des Tongres (close to Mérode), might accept to reserve their upper floor for us. However, closes at 7pm...

Another thought about the location Jul 19, 2007

Friday night in that pub promises to be very crowded. Phoned them and pub is not smoke-free and warm meals are only served until 9. p.m Agree with Verbon that a quieter and/or less crowded venue may be preferable.

Another the location ! Jul 19, 2007

I'm living for several years in BXL. The "James Joyce" is indeed not that what we "need".

To loud, to crowded ...

Cose Cosi is located at the entrance of the Chée de Wavre at the
Porte de Namur
so it is at 10 minutes far from the Place Royale, Sablon,
Godefroid Bouillon
and at 15 minutes far from the Grand'Place and Quartier Saint-Géry

On the Place de Namur there is enough parking place in the underground
parking
and an easy metro station

location Jul 19, 2007

Does everyone agree with the location proposed by Aurore - Cose Cosi? We could switch to this location if it's fine with everyone. I don't know it, personnally, but it sounds good.
