Hello! May 19, 2006

It will be my first Powwow, unfortunately I won’t be able to stay for very long because it’s my best friend’s birthday.
I would also like to have my identity verified.
Looking forward to meet you all.
Cristina

ProZ.com IDs May 20, 2006

Just a quick note to remind people to bring their ProZ.com IDs. You can find this if you go to the FAQ page from this powwow (it's the only way I know of). If you read the relevant section (and you're logged in, of course), your ID will appear in blue.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
Alina

Hi, everybody! Just to make sure: meeting on the 3rd of June (that's Saturday, isn't it?) at Slug & Lettuce? What time? What about the picnic if the weather is nice?
Please reply asap.

time? May 31, 2006

14 or 16?

By the way, on sat., it will be very sunny and we'll have 22 ºC in London! (says the BBC)

I guess it would be best to meet in the pub first and then go to the park (?).

See you

Marta

pub vs park May 31, 2006

I think Marta's idea is brilliant. If the weather is nice (I do tend to rather ignore the weather forecast, as it proves to be inaccurate far too often) - and we can check that on the day - it would be lovely to go bask in the sun.

However, I think it would be wiser to meet in the Slug and Lettuce - I think 14:00 should be fine, especially for those with prior commitments (I would really like people to comment on this, if possible).
I look forward to seeing you on saturday.

let us meet at the pub May 31, 2006

Could we meet at the Slug and Lettuce first. Otherwise it could become difficult.

Prior commitments May 31, 2006

Hi Alina, I'm playing touch-rugby in Regent's Park every Saturday from 11am, but usually run out of stamina before 1pm, so the 2pm meeting time sounds perfect. I agree that it's easier to meet in the pub in the first instance (we can always move on later), this way people are less likely to get lost.

Great idea - pub first, then park! Jun 1, 2006

I totally agree with the idea to meet in the pub first and then go to the park - weather permitting - as a group.
Makes getting to know everyone much easier!

Perfect Jun 1, 2006

that's settled then: meeting in the slug and lettuce at 14:00 on Sat, and we'll take it from there. Don't forget: I'll have a red carnation on the table

Am afraid that I am now a "maybe" for tomorrow, but very much hope to make it.

The same as Judy for me Jun 1, 2006

I'm currently very busy in a few translation projects, and the deadline of one of them is Sunday, 4th June. I think the best way for me is that, if I can make it on time, you will see me at the meeting point.
