Cheekita; from the profiles of those expressing an interest in attending, it appears there are one Italian and one Spanish native speaker plus four others who translate from Italian and / or Spanish. HTH

Language pairs. | Jun 4, 2003 |
Cheekita: My language pair is as well Enlish into Spanish. Nevertheless I have the feeling that powwows go beyond 'language pairs' and I'm sure we will enjoy the event and will share our experiences. I'm not too experienced either because I have done more interpreting and teaching than translation itself. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Lisa Frideborg Eddy (X) United Kingdom Local time: 20:48 English to Swedish + ... Hello everyone | Jul 1, 2003 |
Just wanted to say that I really look forward to meeting all of you. I've read Russel's message about the Questionnaire results and it all looks good to me. Like Anette, I could do with some Trados expertise. If anyone needs help to get moving to prevent PC-related stiffness and soreness, I'll be glad to help. I'm also a certified dance teacher with some physiotherapy training. Cheers

Lisa Frideborg Eddy (X) United Kingdom Local time: 20:48 English to Swedish + ... Sorry Russell | Jul 1, 2003 |
Just noticed that I misspelled your name.
Sounds great Lisa, I'd love some dancing, and I can provide relaxation techniques to help that dead-line stress and brain halt.

Lisa Frideborg Eddy (X) United Kingdom Local time: 20:48 English to Swedish + ... Dancing at the powwow? | Jul 1, 2003 |
I was thinking more along the lines of helping with posture, stretching and relaxation etc. I teach modern, ballet and character dance, and as much as I'd love for that to be in demand among my fellow translators on an afternoon at the pub...
