It does indeed seem that the Malt Cross will be too busy/loud on a Saturday afternoon. Am tempted to go back to the Waterfront (April gathering). Any other ideas?

I personally like the Canalhouse better, which is two pubs down. They have a nice outside area en inside seems quiet too.

I've only been there when it was packed but it is nice. Let's see what Frances saysicon_smile.gif
PS. I'm on holiday from 4-13 July so it would be good to finalise a place beforehand so I can update the powwow info. Feel rather disorganised this time!

Hi I think the canalhouse is nice too but again I've only been when it is packed. I think its popularity depends on the weather...

I think we may have to do a rain dance then! I'll jog past there one evening and ask whether we can maybe reserve a table. Thanks for the ideas.
