Translation - English From "Summary"
According to the statistics of May 2004, 62 000 Swedish employees had subsidiary wages, a government grant which amounts to approximately 800 million Swedish crowns a year. Today there are few possibilities for functionally disabled with subsidiary wages to find enjoyment in their work, to develop within the framework of their work and to get continuous competence, something which is due to the lack of proper management and support from supervisors. In fact, a great number of the people belonging to our target group are working alone. For that reason, it is difficult for the government and the Employment Office to thoroughly survey and to improve the situation for the functionally disabled with subsidiary wages.

Experience
Years of experience: 20. Registered at ProZ.com: Jun 2008.
My name is Annelie Nilsson. I live in a small community in Sweden.
From time to time I have worked as a teacher. I have taught Swedish to immigrants, Swedish and English to Swedes and basic knowledge in computer science to beginners. I have also worked with local tourist issues, writing information materials, and for a short period worked as a tourist guide. My main subjects at college/university are History (The Culture and Teaching Program), 60 p, and English (The Culture and Communication Program), 90 p.
I have always been a passionate reader. When I was thirteen years old I began to read texts in English so that I would not have to depend on Swedish translations. My knowledge in English is, however, not restricted to reading, but also extends to writing and speaking it. As my experiences are limited to translations from Swedish to English I have added an excerpt from one of them to my Portfolio sample. However, I prefer to translate from English to Swedish.
I am a member of the Theater Association of Sweden, the International Association of Immigrant Women and the Game Association of Stockholm (board games, computer games and role plays).
