Project Manager from January 2005 until present

In January 2005 I started my career as Linguist Project Manager coordinating the work of different translation/localisation teams following the most strict industry standards regarding quality assurance, monitoring and complying at all stages of a project.

For doing so I am highly computer-literate and possess an extensive knowledge of the latest techniques, applications and resources in this industry in order to localise all types of materials, including websites, software applications, hard copies, technical documents, PDF’s, brochures and marketing materials, etc.

I also work part-time for US Translation / Globotext llc based in Utah, coordinating its Assignment Desk for urgent press releases into different language pairs and helping translators to answer their queries and get their work back on time.

Freelance translator from April 2002 until present

From April 2002 I have been working in translation and localisation of all sorts of documents and contents from English, French and Portuguese such as –

IT, software & web-contents such as websites, software and applications, QA testing and reporting, videogames and all related marketing materials and literature.
Legal documents such as certificates, diplomas, agreements, etc. 
Financial-related texts such as annual reports, budgets and estimations, etc.
Scientific and medical texts such as releases, clinic trials, pharmacological texts, etc.
Industrial and specialised texts such as technical manuals & reports, inspections, etc.

All these works are done following standards, specific requirements and instructions and deadlines requiered by each client. All translations are proofread by a partner of mine and guarantee the highest quality.

Freelance interpreter from April 2003 until present

After being trained at University degree on simultaneous, consecutive and liaison interpreting techniques with professional interpreters and having a real work experience interpreting in booths during seminars and congresses, I have pursued my career as a freelance English<>Spanish, English<>Portuguese and Spanish<>Portuguese interpreter for the last 12 years.

I have done all sorts of missions ‒helping speakers, consultants and engineers to accomplish their duties abroad, becoming a language bridge and offering simultaneous, consecutive and liaison interpreting services. Among the companies I work for, I can name British Petrol in Vienna , Renault in France, WHO in Belfast, BWM/Mini launch events in Bilbao 2017 and Lisbon 2020, Lonza Pharma & Biotech in O Porriño (Spain), Navantia Shipyard in Ferrol (Spain) among many others. I am lately more involved in remote interpreting services, providing also a virtual booth platform that supports any event held via Zoom, Meet, Skype, Webex and many other applications.
