Translation - English Best: The local investors caused the shekel to strengthen - not the foreigners
The investment house points out that the turnover of the local foreign exchange players has reached a peak, while it has not changed for the foreigners. The chief economist: "The political uncertainty is already causing damage to high-tech compared to the US, as you can see in the decrease in jobs. High-tech employees may reduce consumption already"
The optimism in the foreign exchange market that led to the strengthening of the shekel against the dollar (+0.67% 3.617) in the last two weeks came from the local investors, while those foreigners observing the political ev ents from the outside do not share it.
This is according to a review published today (Sunday) by Alex Zebzinski, the chief economist of Meitav Investment House.
