English to Turkish: ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY of HEART General field: Medical Detailed field: Medical (general)
Translation - Turkish ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY of HEART:
For the heart to work effectively, its atria and ventricles must act rapidly and sequentially. The more the myocardial tissue is able to contract at the same time, the more efficient the pumping mechanism. Sequential activation means that the atria are activated first and fill the ventricles with sufficient blood before ventricular contraction begins. To coordinate these two tasks, the heart has an electrical conduction system made up of specialized myocardial cells. These cells form bundles of fibers that act like electrical wires that rapidly and sequentially propagate the electrical action potential to the contractile myocardium in the atria and ventricles. When the contractile myocardium receives an electrical Action Potential, it is activated and contracts.
