Bio

Hello! My name is Lauro. I am from Minas Gerais, Brazil.

I hold a degree
in architecture and urbanism and Game development and I'm postgraduated on the following fields: Occupational Safety Engineering and Full Stack Developer. My
history with languages started when I was 7 years old. At that time, I used
to grab a Portuguese dictionary that had some Greek letters and used it to
make my own vocabulary and language, it didn’t work though. After some years, I
started my degree in Game Development, at that time, I didn’t know I loved
learning and working with languages. During course, I faced some
difficulties, because most of the material was in English and I didn’t know English at the time. After some years, when I started my second degree in
Architecture and Urbanism, I had a opportunity to start an English course and I immediately fell in
love with the language and its uses.

I learned English faster than
anything I’ve ever learned in my entire life. Because of that, I decided to continue learning foreign
languages. I started looking for the most suitble languages to me, and they were:  Spanish, Russian and French. While learning these new brunch of languages, A thought came to my mind, Why do not learn more foreign languages?

After that, I decided that I would like to learn more foreign languages and their cultures. So, I decided to start working with languages, and I found about proz During my second degree, I decided that I want to work with
languages, and searching, after one year,  I found PROZ and I immediately started doing translations courses,
learning more about the translation world, conferences, kinds of jobs, etc.
After some time, I found some opportunities on the website and since then I’ve
been working on my career.

Nowadays, I have already worked with several companies, with success, fruitful collaborations. I had clients from Italy, Brazil, Latin
America, England, France, China, etc.

After all this time, I am thankful to
say that I do what I love.
