Source text - English To be translated - NSFW Policy on WT
As WT.Social is a brand new community, you may have noticed that there is no "rule book" posted on the site yet. This choice was made for a few reasons, but the most important one being that you cannot create rules to protect and serve a community's needs if you don't know what they are yet - and we're definitely still learning!
However, at this point, we are comfortable having a few ground rules. Here is the (working) NSFW policy.
What is allowed?
Relevant and respectful NSFW content. This means photographs in photography subwikis (example), newsworthy pictures in relevant subwikis, educational content.
Both the subwiki and the post itself must be clearly labelled NSFW. We want people to make an informed decision about what content they consume, and this is the best way to achieve that.
What isn't allowed?
Straight-up porn, or excessive gore. Not Safe For Work isn't just about naked people. Keep it relevant to the subwiki and in the spirit of the platform. Lots of platforms have porn and/or gore on them. We are not the place for it.
What is porn? You'll know it when you see it. This community is more than mature enough to know when to report to the admins.
What does tagging a post as NSFW do?
Adds four letters to it. WT.Social is not run by algorithms, it's just people chipping in. By marking your posts appropriately, you're signalling respect of other people's decisions and helping the admins evaluate your posts. No technical wizardry applies.
As with everything on this platform, this is still a "work in progress" but we hope this helps.
Lo sabrás cuando lo veas You'll know it when you see it.
