Hello and thank you for visiting my profile!

I am Mireille Cabuay, founder of Cabuay Translations. As a technical translator for the manufacturing and new technologies sectors, I help you reach the French-speaking market.
You can find my services in details at
www.cabuaytranslations.com.

Before I become an entrepreneur in translation, I held various positions in a global IT group serving international key accounts. Thus, I know the corporate world quite well, whether it is a small institution or a big group. I have always worked in the service industry.

I started with promoting France as a destination for the German-speaking market. Then, I trained as a trilingual customer associate in a call center for American Express. With that 10-month experience I discovered the backstage of this very demanding work (scripted procedures, quality assurance, stressful customer service). Eventually, I joined one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world. For more than 10 years, I developed various skills through different positions (from assistant to team leader and service delivery manager):

  • IT Project Management with SAP teams,

  • Client Relationship Management for key
accounts in Aeronautics (Airbus), Beverage (AB-InBev) or Oil and Gas (Total)

  • Quality Management (ISO, ITIL Lean, Six Sigma, Agility)

I specialized in manufacturing and new technologies because both industries are tied together. In addition, my experience and my education enable me to meet the translation needs of this market.

I also chose to become a translator because it is important to me that your clients get a great and simple experience, in line with their expectations and available in their language. Thus, they can fully and easily enjoy your products and
services and value them.
I am committed to build bridges between you and your clients.

As a translator-entrepreneur, I am constantly developing myself in multiple areas: improving my writing skills, promoting my services, or specializing more and more. And that is what motivates me daily!

Ideally, I would like to do business with you, English- and German-speaking clients, and build long-term partnerships. My aim is to work together on rewarding translation projects resulting in growth for both parties and
achieving company-wide goals
. To me, communication transparency and a relationship of trust are key to produce quality work.

Please find some of the recent projects I completed:

  • English to French translation of a 10-page brochure featuring a vacuum conveyor for handling powders and granules in the food industry

  • English to French post-edition of the website of a large international group in the paper and cardboard packaging sector with 100,000 words

  • German to French subtitling of a TED conference (16 min.) covering an innovative topic in agriculture — agrivoltaics. This video is being reviewed. I will publish it as soon as it is validated

  • English to French localization of a SAP-certified application used for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

I live in South-West of France, in Toulouse. During my free time, I listen to podcasts on entrepreneurship and personal development, I read historical novels, geopolitics books or articles about my areas of expertise (i.e. Green IT, white papers on industrial automation…).

I love riding my bike for shopping or fetching my kids from school. On weekends, we ride bikes as a family for longer trips.

I am a proud member of the French society for translators (Société française des traducteurs, SFT)

Contact me to discuss your needs and see how I can help you.
