Bio

I led overseas business for about 30 years in a small Korean company as the CEO and CTO in the past. The main businesses of the company were development, production and supply of military products ranging from component parts for aircraft, weapons, radar, communication equipment, and electronic equipment, to generators, testers, and software such as IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manual).

Since I quit the company in 2007, I have worked as an English to Korean freelance translator for about 11 years. I have translated numerous business/technical documents related to military items such as RFPs, proposals, specifications, business plans, presentations, manuals, procedures, reports and so on. The items involved include fighters, radar, communication equipment and many more.

I have also translated legal/business/technical documents related to commercial products such as construction materials, electronics, automobile, food products, and so on. My strength is that I can translate legal/business/technical documents related to almost any item. From May, 2015, I started working for an international translation agency specialized in translation of dissertations. Since then, I have translated more than 6,500 pages of Korean dissertations of various subjects into English. You can find more details about the documents I have translated at the end part of my CV attached.
