Bio
My name is Damla Kayıhan Çarhacıoğlu. I have a BA from English Language and Literature at Istanbul University, and I have been working as a professional English<>Turkish linguist for 20 years. My native language is Turkish, and I reside in Turkiye. I have successfully worked on the translation projects of various major global brands and delivered around 10 million words so far during my career. I use Trados Studio 2022, and also work on cloud platforms such as XTM Cloud, MemoQWebTrans, Memsource (Phrase), Lingotek, Redokun, etc. I am one of the linguists with the highest quality rating in the translation agencies which I work for.
While it may vary based on the subject as well as my daily workload, my average daily output is 2000-3000 words for translation, 3000-4000 words for MTPE, and 4000-5000 words for proofreading.
