Bio
Since early nineties after the fall of the Berlin Wall and Iron Curtain, when pioneering foreigner businessmen toured Ukraine, famous for its rich arable land once the Breadbasket of Europe and attractive place to invest in the emerging markets I had the honor to start my career of interpreter and translator. After my graduation as a linguist I worked for two years at a unique Soviet plant which produced electron microscopes in a foreign trade department. However, as new independent Ukrainian state was developing I was trying to compete for more challenging position and finally I got a job at Ukraine’s first English language weekly publication, which was distributed among the first international community living and working in Ukraine since Ukraine’s independence where a team of native speaking journalists and editors was editing translations delivered by Ukrainian and Russian natives.
Today with many years of experience and native environment exposure I do all sorts of translation and interpreting services in my hometown Kyiv and elsewhere in the world supporting companies and individuals while organizing tours across Ukraine and Eastern Europe both business and tourism providing translation/interpreting and cultural adaptation services. I enjoy this profession, it is a lot of fun.
