Source text - English The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy on lipid levels and the safety of adding 145 mg of XXXX to 20 mg simvastatin compared to 40 mg of pravastatin, in addition to a diet. The study will also evaluate the efficacy and safety of 145 mg XXXX administered in combination with 40 mg simvastatin.
XXXX is a treatment that lowers fat in blood. It is prescribed in patients with high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides. The drug has been marketed in more than 80 countries since 1975.
Simvastatin and pravastatin are also used for the treatment of patients with a high level of cholesterol. These have also been marketed worldwide for more than 15 years.
It is important to treat high levels of fats in the blood because it has been shown that these can lead to diseases of the blood vessels.
It has been shown in several studies and in clinical practice that the combination of XXXX plus simvastatin can lead to improved effects on blood fats, compared to treatment with simvastatin or XXXX alone.
If you are eligible, you will then start the “screening period”. This period will last at least 6 weeks, during which you will receive one capsule of pravastatin 40 mg per day. Your study doctor will also instruct you on a diet that you will be asked to maintain throughout the trial.

Source text - English Diabetes mellitus: A metabolic disorder that is characterised by persistent hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar). There are two types of diabetes mellitus. Type 1 (also known as insulin-dependent diabetes or IDDM) is characterised by loss of the insulin-producing beta cells of the islets of Langerhans of the pancreas, which accounts for approximatetly 10% of all cases. Sensitivity and responsiveness to insulin are usually normal, especially in the early stages. Type 2 (non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus or NIDDM), is due to a combination of defective insulin secretion and defective responsiveness to insulin (reduced insulin sensitivity or insulin resistence). In early stages, the predominant abnormality is reduced insulin sensitivity, characterised by elevated levels of insulin in the blood, which has wider health implications in terms of metabolic disorders and risks to cardiovascular health.

PREAMBLE
WHEREAS, YYY has good and valid title in and to, and is the sole record and beneficial owner of the Pledged Shares; and
WHEREAS, ZZZ (the “Coop”) and VVV (the “Partnership”) have entered into a certain Share Purchase Agreement on January 3, 2008 (the “SPA”) pursuant to which XXX shall, inter alia, acquire 32% of the Coop’s issued and outstanding share capital on a fully diluted basis; and
WHEREAS, YYY and the Partnership have provided certain representations and warranties under the SPA and YYY has undertaken certain Obligations (as defined below) under the SPA; and
WHEREAS, in order to secure the due performance of the Obligations by YYY and the correctness and truthfulness of the representations and warranties provided by YYY, the Coop and the Partnership under the SPA, YYY hereby pledges to XXX and grants XXX a first priority security interest in the Collateral as set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth herein the Parties hereto agree and undertake as follows:
1. INTERPRETATIONS AND DEFINITIONS
1.1 For the purposes of this Deed, capitalized terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the SPA unless a different meaning is specifically ascribed to them herein.
1.2 As used in this Deed, the following terms shall have the respective meanings set forth beside them below:
1.2.1 “COLLATERAL” shall mean each of the Pledged Shares, the Pledged Dividends, the Derived Rights and the Proceeds.

When such characteristics are developing or established, there is much greater likelihood that
teachers collectively will learn with and from one another. Many teachers do learn from their
colleagues, but often from just one or two others. The notion of collective learning includes an
effort to scale up the enterprise so that all teachers are included and each plays a part.
Workplace professional learning, where staff (teachers and support staff) share their talents,
skills and knowledge, helps each of them to develop individually and enables the staff to
become a combined teaching unit. Thinking of the staff as a combined teaching unit is important,
because that is the pupils’ experience of them as they move from class to class and encounter
different teachers. Many, probably the great majority of heads and teachers, now see
themselves in this holistic way and know that they are teams of teachers working with agreed
polices, principles of procedure and classroom practices.
The greatest opportunities for teachers improving their pedagogy comes as a result of their
learning from the colleagues with whom they work every day. Most teachers have done this
anyway, but often in ways that were informal, unsystematic and ad hoc. Such patterns of
professional development will always go on – indeed, they should be encouraged because they
are valuable and necessary. However, they are not sufficient to meet pupils’ needs in schools
today.
