So then I bought the broad beans and cooked them and ate them and got my sugar checked and it had come down to three hundred and ninety eight and..."Oh," I told myself, "Oh, wow!" Isn't that great? So back I went, cooked them and ate them because I didn't have an appointment with the doctor or anything and I thought, “She will not see me and how would I control my sugar then?” Well, I kept on eating and err…I got it down to a hundred and seventy-eight and said, “Well, uh, by taking the pills I was prescribed and the broad beans I can make do,” and this has helped me quite a lot. La verdad es que un servidor no está muy a favor de Windows Mobile como sistema operativo para móviles, ya sea por los problemas de usabilidad que ha acarreado como por su inoportuna inestabilidad. Aún así debo decir que la versión 6.5 de Windows Mobile da un nuevo y refrescante enfoque a una interfaz que ya estaba obsoleta. Si a eso le sumamos la capa Sense, que le da MUCHA vida al terminal, tenemos una interfaz mejorada y bastante accesible. Realmente Sense oculta casi todo lo que no nos gusta de WinMo dándole un toque más fresco e intuitivo, cubriendo la mayoría de aplicaciones nativas como el gestor de contactos, agenda, calendario, gestor de llamadas, correo, galería de fotos y vídeos, etc. La verdad es que gracias a esto y a la velocidad de su procesador y a su memoría, el teléfono parece correr bastante fluido. Pese a que mis dedos podrían definirse más bien como morcillas, el uso del móvil, con una pantalla tan reducida y por ende todo el sistema y textos reducidos, no me ha sido muy difícil tener cierta precisión y evitar errores al pulsar.

Source text - English II. Guide to the Antitrust Laws
The antitrust laws are based on the fundamental assumption that a competitive process will increase the supply and reduce the price of goods and services. These laws therefore prohibit conduct that will either blunt the intensity of the struggle among competitors, on the one hand, or, on the other hand, so escalate that struggle by unfair means that only a single firm is likely to survive. For an overview of the antitrust statutes, see Attachment 4.
The first major risk is addressed by Section 1 of the Sherman Act, which prohibits agreements that unreasonably restrain competition. Illegal agreements among competitors are the most obvious examples of Section 1 antitrust violations. They are normally prosecuted criminally and aggressively by the United States government, and they are the most serious violation. But certain agreements with suppliers and with customers can violate Section 1 as well. The second risk is addressed by Section 2 of the Sherman Act, which prohibits certain individual conduct by a monopolist or by someone who attempts to become a monopolist. Both sections of the Sherman Act are expressed in general terms, and they have only been defined on a case-by-case basis by courts over a period of years.
Another antitrust law, the Clayton Act (as amended by the Robinson Patman Act), prohibits certain specific conduct that raises incipient competitive concerns but has not yet ripened into a Sherman Act violation. The Clayton Act also covers subjects like mergers and joint ventures (Section 7) and discriminatory pricing and promotion in the sale of goods (Section 2).
Special Note to Sales, Marketing and Other Personnel: Although the antitrust laws are of greatest concern to people involved in sales and marketing activities, it applies to everyone in the Company. People with responsibilities for purchasing, extension of credit, labor relations, and many other activities, must pay special attention to the antitrust laws.

Ken Watkins, Vice President-Safety, Health and Operational Accountability for Phelps Dodge Corp., has decided to retire effective July 31. Ken has been instrumental in resetting the safety culture at Phelps Dodge, and his years of experience and achievement in copper mining, production and manufacturing have earned him wide recognition as a strong operations leader.
After serving 3½ years in the U.S. Air Force, Ken began his career in the copper industry in January 1969 as a laborer in the concentrator at Magma Copper Co. in San Manuel, Ariz. In April 1969, he accepted a job as a maintenance planning clerk at what was then Kennecott Copper Corp.’s Ray Mines Division in Arizona. When he left Kennecott in 1973, he was a foreman in the haulage truck shop.
In October 1973, Ken returned to Magma Copper Co.’s San Manuel operations to be a production supervisor in that company’s new refinery. His career at San Manuel culminated with his service as general foreman of the rod mill.
Ken moved to Cyprus Mining Corp.’s operations in Miami, Ariz., in January 1989 as general foreman of the rod mill. He held several positions during his tenure with Cyprus, and when Phelps Dodge acquired Cyprus Amax in 1999, Ken was vice president of the Miami facility. Ken was promoted to president of Phelps Dodge Smelting, Rod and Refining in 2000 and moved with his family to El Paso, Texas, in 2001. During his years as vice president of Miami and president of Smelting, Rod and Refining, he established an emphasis on “Six Points of Continuous Improvement.” All operations under his leadership were required to focus on six key points – safety, the environment, quality, production, cost control and stakeholder relationships. Ken mandated that none of these six points could be sacrificed in order to achieve a goal.
Ken became involved in resetting the company’s safety culture in June 2005 when he was asked to lead a special initiative to refocus all operations on safety. In June 2006, he joined the Phoenix corporate staff as Vice President-Safety, Health and Operational Accountability.
Ken and his family plan to stay in the Phoenix area. Please join me in thanking him for all his contributions to our company and in wishing him and his family all the best.
