Bio
My name is known as Joy Benton, but the real longer version is Utanee Joy Benton.
I have had educational experience both in Thailand (kindergarten, high school, and undergrad) and the United States (elementary and graduate school).
Thammasat University - BA., English
Emerson College - MA Political Communications
My first job as a translator was in 1993 for an HBO movie called 'A Place for Annie', and various American sitcom episodes through ITV, Thailand. I also worked as a correspondence writer from 1999 to 2003 for Governor Jane M. Swift of Massachusetts. Currently, I work for CBS Corporation in New York in the financial reporting department.
I'm looking to maintain my chops in translation and interpretation and would hope to get into the business as a full-time professional.
