This market is dominated by phytotherapy in the form of capsules.
The ageing of the population, the trends in feeding behaviours, the constantly increasing health costs, the growing role of self-medication and prevention, and the return to natural values are determining factors in this market.

With age, the motivation of “staying healthy” increases, whilst the motivation of “tiredness and stress” decreases.
The motivating factor varies according to the distribution circuit, . In fact, pharmacies and parapharmacies are especially used for the purchase of products which treat tiredness, whilst specialist shops are more frequently associated with the motivation of “staying healthy”.
