I have more than ten years of experience as a translator and have done translations in several fields, including: Marketing, Information Technology, Video Games, Literature, Education, Healthcare, Web Sites, among others. Through this experience, I translated over 500,000 words.

During my first years as a translator, I had the chance to work for a professional translator located in Mexico, which helped me to gain experience much faster. Also, that allowed me to learn all the new techniques, and acquire the researching skills that are essential for technical translations.

I use SDL Trados Studio and have experience in Smartling and XTM, but I am willing to learn how to use new CAT tools according to my clients’ needs.

Studies:

I studied a 5 year degree on Linguistics, Semiotics and Literature (Licenciatura en Letras). Translations allow me to combine two of my passions: literature and languages.

In addition, I took courses in Law, Anthropology and Philosophy schools, which added value to my background in Humanities and Social Science.
