Source text - English An earthworm is a very small animal. When the ground is wet, you may see one crawling along a country lane, or in the grass. A worm's body is very long and thin. It is formed by many little ringlike segments. A worm looks the same on both ends, but in fact it has a mouth in front and a small hole in back. An earthworm is moist and cool to the touch. An earthworm is both male and female, but it still needs to mate with another worm before it can lay eggs. If you cut a worm in two, the halves go on living if they have enough segments left. Each half may grow into a whole worm again. This is called regeneration.

Está formado por muchos segmentos pequeños en forma de anillos. El gusano se mira igual por los dos lados, pero en realidad tiene una boca en frente y un agujero atrás. Cuando uno lo atoca se siente frío y húmedo. La lombriz es los dos es hembra y macho, pero de todas maneras tiene que tener un compañero yacía poner huevos. Source text - English This is a very popular Mexican side dish. It's been used for generations.
Ingredients:
¼ pd. pinto beans
1 12 oz pkg. bacon
1 medium chopped onion
3 chopped red tomatoes
1 small can sliced jalapeño peppers
½ cup chopped cilandro
Boil the beans until done. Add salt to taste. Fry the bacon and add the onion and the tomatoes. Cook for about 10 minutes and add to the beans, and also the can of jalapeño peppers and the cilandro. Cook for 10 more minutes.
Translation - Spanish Este es un platillo que se usa para acompañar con la comida. Se ha usado por generaciones.

1 paquete de 12 oz de tocino
3 tomates rojos cortados en trozos
1 cebolla mediana cortada en trozos
1 lata chica de chiles jalapeños rebanados
½ taza de cilandro
Hierba los frijoles hasta que esten cocidos. Agregele sal al gusto. Fríe el tocino con la cebolla y el tomate por 10 minutos y agregele a los frijoles junto con la lata de jalapeños y el cilandro. Cocinelo por 10 minutos mas.

My name is Elia Briones, I am a sixty-five year old female, retired from Wachovia Bank where I worked seven years doing data entry. I was raised in an English and Spanish speaking family. I took Spanish I and II in High School and I majored in Spanish at the University of St. Francis, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
In 1982 I moved to Monterrey, Mexico with my four sons. We lived there for twelve years. I used to work selling from door to door, it is the best way to get to know people. I learned to appreciate their culture and ideas but most of all their easy way of living. I used to sell jewelry, toys, clothes, electrical appliances, and anything I could carry.
In 1995 I moved back to Dallas, Texas and worked with a temporary agency doing mostly data enry jobs until I was hired permanently at Wachovia Bank. After I retired from Wachovia Bank I moved back to Mexico where I taught English in my home for two years. I taught students from first grade up to university level. I wrote two booklets for my students, one for beginners and one for the more advanced students. The booklets are in English and Spanish covering most of the English grammar. They are about sixty pages long, if you want to see a copy I will be glad to send you one.
I moved back to Dallas, where I am presently living. I am a notary public and I also have a tax service to run. I am also taking a course with CTP (Certified Translation Professional) which I should finish by November 6, 2010.
Last week while I browsing through the internet, I happened to get into Proz website by accident. I read about your translation services and believe me I can not wait to get started.
