Myocardial infarction (MI) is the injury and necrosis of cardiac muscle cells due to ischemia. Most acute myocardial infarctions (AMI) occur as a result of thrombus formation at the site of an atherosclerotic plaque inside a coronary artery.
Thrombolytic therapy is the use of a drug (thrombolytic agent) to produce rapid lysis of the occluding thrombus (or embolus). It directly treats the initiating cause of myocardial infarction.
Thrombolytic therapy is an established treatment for patients with AMI who do not have contraindication to its use. Its benefits on survival and clinical outcome have been well established in numerous research studies worldwide, and it has been used extensively for more than ten years. Although thrombolytic therapy may have potential complications, in general, they are outweighed by its benefits. It is now considered one of the standard treatment options.

دل کے پٹھوں کی رکاوٹ (ایم آئی) ایک زخم ہے اور کسی رکاوٹ کی وجہ سے خون کے سرخ خلیوں کی کمی کے باعث دل کے پٹھوں کے خلیات کا مردہ ہو جانا ہے۔ دل میں خون کے بہاؤ میں رکاوٹ زیادہ شدید تاج کی شکل کی شریانوں کے مقام پر چکنائی والے مادے جمع ہونے سے خونی سداد (شریانوں میں خون کے بہاؤ میں رکاوٹ) کے بننے کے نتیجے میں پیدا ہوتی ہے۔
خون کے لوتھڑوں کی خاتمے سے متعلق علاج (تھروم بولیٹک) ایک دوا(خون کے لوتھڑوں کے خاتمے والا عنصر) کے استعمال کا نام ہے جو تیزی سے ایسے لیس دار مادے پیدا کرتا ہے جو خون کے لوتھڑوں کو جذب کرتے ہیں۔ یہ براہ راست دل میں خون کے لوتھڑے جمنے کی ابتدائی وجہ کا علاج کرتا ہے۔
خون کے لوتھڑوں کی خاتمے سے متعلق علاج (تھروم بولیٹک) ایک تصدیق شدہ علاج ہے جو ان مریضوں کے لئے ہے جو اس کے استعمال سے غیر موافقت نہ رکھتے ہوں۔ اس کے فوائد زندگی بچانے کے لئے اور ہسپتالوں میں اس کے نتائج پوری دنیا میں بہت ساری تحقیقات سے ثابت ہو چکے ہیں، اور اس کا استعمال وسیع طور پر پچھلے دس سال سے کیا جا رہا ہے۔ اگرچہ خون کے لوتھڑوں کے خاتمے سے متعلق علاج کی کئی امکانی پیچیدگیاں ہو سکتی ہیں، عام طور پر یہ اس کے فوائد کے مقابلے میں کوئی حیثیت نہیں رکھتیں۔ اب یہ معیاری علاج کے لئے بہترین انتخاب تصور کیا جاتا ہے۔
