Source text - English The 10-year Treasury yield fell 15 bps in August to close the month at 5.70%. As expected, the Federal Reserve left rates unchanged on 8/22/00. Productivity data released over the course of the month lent credence to the theory that stronger US growth is possible without generating inflation. The risk now is that the Fed's interest rate policy is not restrictive enough to prevent a further upswing in growth, particularly as investment growth remains robust.

I have worked in as an interpreter and translator for eight years plus, residing in both Brasil and the United States.
