Source text - Spanish A pesar de su clima abundante en lluvias, Cantabria no siempre tiene garantizado el suministro para abastecer todas las necesidades urbanas, industriales, turísticas… existentes en su territorio. Por otro lado, las precipitaciones suelen estar bien distribuidas a lo largo del año, pero ocasionalmente pueden tener lugar episodios de inundaciones. En algunos casos los daños causados por éstas han sido catastróficos, como en agosto de 1983, cuando varias personas perdieron la vida y los daños materiales fueron de miles de millones.
La actividad económica de la ciudad ha crecido de manera sostenida a lo largo de los últimos años, lo que pone en evidencia la recuperación económica de la que hablábamos. El crecimiento afecta a todos los sectores, excepto la industria y la construcción, que han descendido ligeramente en el último periodo. Por el contrario, los mayores incrementos los han registrado los servicios y la hostelería.
Desde el punto de vista del empleo, los esfuerzos que se han realizado desde el Ayuntamiento (y en este sentido la Agencia de Desarrollo Local tiene un papel destacado) han tenido como resultado el descenso continuado del desempleo desde 1995. Este descenso ha sido generalizado, pero las políticas de empleo han permitido una mayor reducción en el caso de las mujeres. El paro femenino era un grave problema hace una década, y afortunadamente hoy no lo es tanto, pese a que las tasas de actividad aún son más elevadas entre los hombres.

Article 7. General
7.1 This Agreement does not require either Party to disclose or to receive Confidential Information.
7.2 The Confidential Information disclosed under this Agreement is delivered "as is" and the Disclosing Party makes no representation of any kind with respect to the accuracy of such Confidential Information or its suitability for any purpose.
7.3 Neither Party may assign, or otherwise transfer its rights or delegate its duties or obligations under this Agreement without prior written consent of the other Party. Any such attempt shall be held void.
7.4 This Agreement shall not be construed as granting expressly or impliedly any rights or license to designs, trademarks, know-how, copyrights or any other form of intellectual property rights belonging to the Disclosing Party in respect of the Confidential Information, the ownership of which shall remain vested in the Disclosing Party at all times.
7.5 This Agreement is the complete and exclusive statement of the agreement between the Parties relating to the Purpose hereof, and supersedes all prior written and oral communications and agreements relating to the subject matter hereof.

Source text - English Power consumption of the IDE drive can be dramatically improved with proper buffering strategy. During Read/Write operations, the drive consumes ~1.5watts/sec of power. During idle with the platter spun down it consumes 0.25watts/sec of power. It takes 2watts/sec for 2 seconds to spin the drive back up. If we can buffer at least 11 seconds of data in 1 second of real time when we read the drive, we cut the drive power consumption in half. Since we need .5Mbytes for 1 second of compressed video, we would need to buffer about 5Mbytes of data in under 1 second. Remembering that the maximum bandwidth of the IDE drive is at least 13Mbytes/sec, we can do this while still leaving more than 50% of the processor bandwidth for other tasks. Even with a hard drive that has a small buffer (and is thus cheaper), we just need to insure our driver buffers about 5-6 Mbytes of data every time we spin up the drive. We could also decide to use smaller, cheaper batteries. Four NiMH 2000ma/hr cells gives us 6,200mw/hrs (1.2V x 2000ma/hr x 80% conversion efficiency x 80% battery capacity usage). With the reduced power consumption of the IDE we would still get almost 3 ½ hours of run time.

Γνωρίζω τον Χ από μικρό παιδί. Από τον Σεπτέμβρη του 2002 μέχρι τον Ιανουάριο του 2005 δίδασκα το μάθημα των Μαθηματικών στο [ονομασία σχολείου] όπου φοιτά η Χ. Η σχέση μου με τον Χ είναι διττή. Εκτός από μαθητής μου στην Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση είναι ταυτόχρονα και συνεργάτης μου στην συγγραφή μιας εργασίας με τίτλο "ΥΥΥΥ". Ο Χ είναι μαθητής που ξεπερνάει τη συνήθη ταυτότητα του μελετηρού και συνετού μαθητή, ο οποίος κρίνεται από τις αυστηρές απαιτήσεις του αναλυτικού προγράμματος. Ο Χ δείχνει ένα εντυπωσιακά αναλυτικό μυαλό και αφαιρετική ικανότητα, στοιχεία που αποτελούν το θεμελιώδες εργαλείο της μαθηματικής σκέψης.
