Automotive engineering: translator of the Bosch Automotive Handbook, 2nd English Edition (706 pages, published in 1986 by Robert Bosch GmbH), as well as a number of smaller Bosch booklets describing various automotive systems and how they work (electrical system, ignition system, starters, batteries, lights, etc.).
Pneumatics/hydraulics: translated several pneumatics textbooks for FESTO Pneumatic, Esslingen (Germany); also interpreted (simultaneous) for the British contingent at a week-long FESTO sales & marketing conference held in Esslingen in 1980. Was the chief translator of the periodical "FESTO Select" publication in the late '70s, and translated numerous loose-leaf pages for their main pneumatics equipment catalog.
Translated a repair manual for the hydraulic system of a military helicopter which was highly commended by the customer.
IC wafer fabrication: diffusion, thin- and thick-film deposition, sputtering systems, wafer test, dicing, DIP/SIP packaging, etc. Worked for Harris Semiconductor in Palm Bay, Florida as line foreman in thin-film and diffusion departments.
Legal and patent translation: Spanish/German>English.
Interpreting (German<>English): trial work (patent infringement, investor fraud), depositions (insurance claims, fraudulent business practices, personal injury, theft of intellectual property), engineering conferences; simultaneous, consecutive, escort. My German client at a patent infringement trial in District Court in Charlotte, North Carolina in the early '90s rated me higher than German Chancellor Kohl's interpreter, whom they had used previously.

BASIC programmer for over 35 years. In 1982, I wrote a pair of terminology management programs in Extended Color BASIC for the Radio Shack (Tandy) Color Computer. These programs predate by several years similar applications marketed by Trados, STAR Transit, TermTracer, Profilex and others.
