What I absolutely don't understand, is this все. It's a pain, because it can mean so many things, like all, everything, everybody, everyone, just, anyway and who knows, what else.
I've heard and read this sentence so often. So what does it mean in this case? I would like to know it specifically and with certainty. I hope, it's translatable into English, but if you know it in Polish for sure, that would help me, too.

| So it's everything, meaning all territories taken. I thought, that could be one of the options, but maybe it's just a general statement, like everything = the whole world will be Ukraine. Then I also thought, that maybe it means "anyway" = jednak (PL) = однако (RU) = однак (UA), also sometimes всё равно, as in: Он всё равно делает, что хочет. (RU) or Він все одно робить те, що хоче. |
| I just really wanted an iron-clad confirmation with certainty from a native speaker of Ukrainian, but I see Russian as native in your profile, not Ukrainian and the first link's author is actually Robert Minton = not a Ukrainian. So maybe some Ukrainian translators could back up this answer? |
| And the logic also bothers me a little bit, when someone says "Everything will be Ukraine.", because it sounds like right now it's not Ukraine. So in my opinion if a Ukrainian land or region is stolen, it's still Ukrainian, even if it's in the hands of the thief for a long time. The Ukrainian-ness of that land doesn't change, just because someone claims, it's Russian land. It's still Ukrainian. Then why say, that it WILL be Ukrainian in the future, if it's STILL Ukrainian now, just stolen and robbed? But it's still Ukrainian. So I would never acknowledge even for a moment, that it's not Ukrainian. It's currently in Russian hands, but it didn't stop to be Ukrainian. So why even say, that it'll be Ukrainian again? It is, it still is! Only the Russian hands have to be pried off of it now, because it doesn't belong to them. |
