Swedish term
typritning
Swedish to English
Tech/Engineering
Engineering (general)
Inför Entreprenaden har Trafikverket kommunicerat ett förstärkningskoncept som framgår av typritningarna.
I can't find a proper definition anywhere - not even in Gullbergs engelska fackordbok.
I've got a feeling that it might just be good old "technical" drawings or that it might be related to CAD drawings, but it might also be a more general, cross-industry term which can be used to describe a certain tuype of drawing/sketch.
Any help would be much appreciated!

"Type drawing" may be better suited to manufactured items e.g. machinery, rather than highway construction and also sounds Swinglish!

type drawing
Just like it reads... as in "A type drawing of RCC box culvert is shown in Fig at pg. 65."

I have to agree with Deand G on this.
However, the English term sort of implies that the drawing depicts a type of something rather than an actual object, so it may be completely wrong.
I advise you to ask the owner of the source text for clarity.

I agree with Paul G that type drawing could imply a drawing depicting a specific type of something where the Swedish sentence seems more general in its meaning, almost as if it could have as well said "ritningarna" instead of "typritningarna". The best translation could just be the less obscure term "blueprint" in this case since it's now a very general term for a guide to making something or any kind of technical drawing. Not always the historic literal meaning of a schematic of white lines on blue paper.
